Film Interview – Shailene Woodley, Nat Wolff, and John Green – The Fault in Our Stars

Dallas, Texas was chosen as one of the four cities for the stars of The Fault in Our Stars to visit on a small press tour and also to meet the rabid fans of the novel the film is based on.  The day after “Demand Our Stars” hit the South Side Ballroom for the fan event, they spent the morning doing interviews.  The MacGuffin sat in on a small panel with stars Shailene Woodley (Hazel Grace Lancaster), Nat Wolff (Isaac) and author John Green.  Unfortunately, Ansel Elgort (Augustus Waters) had to leave Dallas early.

Among the things discussed in this interview are Miles Teller, the screenplay by Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber (The Spectacular Now, (500) Days of Summer), what the actor’s put into their performances, John Green’s small role in the film, the parents’ perspective in the book and film, John Green’s fake copy of An Imperial Affliction, John Green’s teenager speak, Anne Frank, the kissing scene, Shailene cutting and donating her hair for the role.

The Fault in Our Stars is in theaters June 6, 2014.
