Episode 25 – For Better Or Worse

Spencer and John talk about films that got better or worse upon repeat viewings, then they give their DVD picks of the week, and they close out the show by talking about the portrayal of vampires in film and on TV.

For his DVD pick of the week, John selected The Brothers Bloom (DVD/Blu-ray).  Even though the film has been available for rental for months, the film just became available for sale.  A total departure from Rian Johnson’s directorial debut Brick, one of John’s top 5 films of 2009.

Spencer selected The Hurt Locker (DVD/Blu-ray) as his DVD pick of the week.  One of the best war films ever, and one of his top 10 films of 2009.  It is an intense action film set inside the war in Iraq.
